Beyond the Dark: Nightwatch launches October 22
Cooperative horror title Beyond the Dark: Nightwatch is set to launch on Switch 2 on October 22, developer Atlantis Studio announced.
The game is designed as a two-player shared horror experience built around asymmetrical collaboration. In this setup, communication serves as the primary tool for survival, with one player navigating a strange, unsettling house while a second player guides and coordinates their actions from a different perspective.

According to the studio, the gameplay loop is constructed exclusively for two players, meaning the house cannot be survived alone. The core mechanics rely on asymmetric exploration, where players must combine information from completely different viewpoints to understand the environment, solve mysteries, and escape.

The setting is described as a claustrophobic, haunted environment filled with anomalies, secrets, and unseen threats. Success in the game demands constant dialogue, requiring players to deliver clear instructions, warn each other of incoming danger, and coordinate every move. The studio notes that while clear communication can save players, misunderstandings can lead to failure.

A new gameplay trailer and a set of screenshots have been released alongside the announcement.
