Bandai Spirits Unveils 'Mobile Stationery' Auto-Transforming Business Card Case
Bandai Spirits has unveiled a new collectible item from its Kido Bunko line: the "Mobile Stationery" automatic transforming business card case. Scheduled for release in October 2026, this gadget allows users to deploy a card with a single button press, delivering an immediate and memorable greeting.
The product leverages Bandai's expertise from the Super Alloy brand to create a compact device that transforms on demand. While closed, it maintains a stylish profile suitable for everyday carry. The company highlights that this first item in the Kido Bunko series is designed specifically for adults looking to make a strong impression during initial meetings.
The case comes in three distinct color variations: Toy Color, Standard Color, and Black Color. Although they share the same shape, each variant offers a unique aesthetic appeal, allowing users to choose the style that best fits their personal brand or the specific recipient.
Practicality is key to this design; the internal capacity for cards is limited to encourage timely reloading. Users can fold the case down after use to replenish the stock before the next interaction. The recommended specifications include standard 4th size cards (55mm x 91mm) with a paper thickness of approximately 0.24mm.
Priced at 3,300 yen (tax included), pre-orders for all three color options are now available at general retail stores starting August 27, 2026, with the official launch set for October 2026.
