Aurora Gaming PH's journey to the finals included a 3:2 victory over Omega Esports and a 3:1 win against Team Liquid PH earlier in the playoffs. However, they fell to Team Falcons PH with a 2:3 score in the upper bracket final, forcing them into the lower bracket run. Now, Aurora Gaming PH has the opportunity to seek revenge in the championship match.
MPL Philippines Season 18 is running from August 21 to October 30. Eight teams are competing for two slots at the M8 World Championship.
