Audio-Technica ATH-AL5NC: 75-hour open-back wireless headphones
Audio-Technica has announced the ATH-AL5NC, a pair of open-back wireless headphones that combine a traditional acoustic design with Bluetooth connectivity. The headset is available now for $279.
The ATH-AL5NC features 53mm dynamic drivers capable of high-resolution 24-bit/96kHz audio via LDAC, AAC, and SBC codecs. The open-back housing is designed to improve airflow and reduce heat accumulation, while the lightweight 240g frame aims to lower clamping pressure on the head.
Battery life is a key highlight, offering up to 75 hours of continuous playback. A 15-minute quick charge provides up to eight hours of listening time. The headphones support multipoint Bluetooth pairing for dual-device connection and include an integrated microphone for calls and gaming communication.
Customization is handled through the Audio-Technica Connect app, which offers adjustable EQ settings, codec toggles, and low-latency gaming modes. Additional features include a Soundscape function for ambient audio, as well as "Noise Reduction" and "Sound Leakage Reduction" modes. For wired use, the package includes a carrying pouch and a 1.2m cable with a 3.5mm stereo mini-plug and inline microphone controls.
