ASUS ROG Pelta Core: Lightweight USB-C Gaming Headset with Custom EQ

ASUS has released the ROG Pelta Core, a lightweight wired gaming headset designed for cross-platform use. The device features a 300 g build, custom EQ support via the Gear Link app, and a detachable boom microphone with a 10 mm ultra-wideband driver.

The headset connects via USB Type-C and is compatible with PC, Mac, PS4/5, Nintendo Switch, iPad/iOS, and Android devices. It includes AURA SYNC-compatible RGB lighting and a 1.8 m USB cable. The audio system uses a 50 mm driver with a ROG titanium-coated diaphragm, with a frequency response of 20 Hz to 20 kHz and an impedance of 32 Ω.

Customization is handled through the Gear Link app, which allows users to switch between a basic mode and a parametric EQ. The detachable boom microphone is equipped with a 10 mm ultra-wideband element. According to ASUS, the microphone achieved a MOS-LQO score of 4.59 in call quality testing, exceeding the average benchmark value of 3.9 for Microsoft Teams.

The ROG Pelta Core is priced at 17,280 yen and is available for purchase through Amazon and Rakuten in Japan.
