ASUS Ascent QN10 Mini PC Taps Snapdragon X2 Elite For 80 TOPS Of AI Muscle

ASUS is claiming the title of the world's first "agentic" mini PC equipped with a neural processing unit (NPU) capable of delivering 80 TOPS for AI workloads. First teased at Microsoft Build 2026, the ASUS Ascent QN10 is also the first mini PC to utilize the Qualcomm Snapdragon X2 Elite processor, marking a significant shift toward Arm-based efficiency in the small-form-factor market.

Arm-based Power and Agentic AI

The Ascent QN10 features an 18-core "Oryon" CPU paired with an integrated Adreno X2-90 GPU, which ASUS reports is 2.3x faster than the previous generation. The standout component is the Hexagon NPU; beyond meeting Microsoft's Copilot+ PC requirements, it is specifically engineered for advanced agentic AI workflows. These workflows allow for a hybrid approach, combining on-device processing with cloud intelligence via frameworks like OpenClaw and Hermes Agent.

This architecture aims to enable seamless automation, allowing users to interact with AI agents through mainstream platforms like WhatsApp and LINE.

Connectivity and Expansion

Despite its compact footprint (130 x 130 x 40 mm) and weight of approximately 620 grams, the device is well-equipped for modern peripherals. It includes three USB4 ports, four USB-A ports (a mix of 3.2 and 2.0), and an HDMI 2.1 output capable of driving up to four 4K displays simultaneously. Wireless connectivity is handled by Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 6.0, while a "2.5GbE" Ethernet port ensures high-speed wired networking.

For storage, the system provides two M.2 2280 slots supporting PCIe Gen 4, and it supports up to 32GB of high-speed LPDDR5X memory.

Configurations and Availability

ASUS is launching the Ascent QN10 in two distinct configurations:

  • A standard model with 16GB "LPDDR5X-8533" RAM and a 512GB SSD for $1,349 (currently available at Best Buy).
  • A high-performance model with 32GB of faster "LPDDR5X-9600" RAM and 512GB of storage for $1,699 (coming soon to Amazon and B&H Photo).
