Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced Sells More Than 3 Million Copies in a Week

Ubisoft says Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced sold more than three million copies in its first week. The company also confirmed that New Game+ is in development.

What Ubisoft Confirmed

Ubisoft’s official update places first-week sales above three million copies. The figure refers to copies sold, not total players, subscription access, or wishlists.

The publisher described the launch as strong momentum for Edward Kenway’s return to the Caribbean. It did not publish a platform-by-platform split for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC.

New Game+ Is Coming

The same announcement confirms New Game+ development. Ubisoft has not provided a release date, progression carry-over rules, or difficulty changes, so none of those details should be treated as settled.

For players who have already finished the campaign, the confirmed mode creates a reason to return. Its exact structure will only be clear when Ubisoft publishes the complete update notes.

Launch Context

Assassin’s Creed Black Flag Resynced launched July 9, 2026 for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC. It is a modern reworking of the 2013 adventure centered on Edward Kenway, naval combat, and exploration across the Caribbean.

As of July 24, only the overall sales milestone and the New Game+ announcement are confirmed. No release date or complete mechanic list has been announced.
