ASRock Launches Radeon RX 9070 GRE Challenger 12GB

ASRock has released the Radeon RX 9070 GRE Challenger 12GB (model RX9070GRE CL 12G). Built on the AMD RDNA 4 architecture, this graphics card is designed to serve the mid-range gaming market.

Cooling and Design Features

The Challenger edition utilizes a custom triple-fan cooling solution featuring ASRock's proprietary Striped Axial Fan technology. The thermal design includes a nickel-plated copper base and Ultra-fit Heatpipes to manage heat dissipation. To ensure quiet operation during low-load tasks, the card supports 0dB Silent Cooling, which stops the fans entirely when not needed. Additionally, the PCB is protected by a metal backplate, and the card includes a toggleable LED indicator.

Technical Specifications

The card operates at a game clock of 2220 MHz, with a maximum boost clock of up to 2790 MHz. It is equipped with 12 GB of GDDR6 memory on a 192-bit bus, featuring an effective speed of 18 Gbps. For connectivity, the card provides three DisplayPort 2.1a outputs and one HDMI 2.1b port.

Physically, the card measures approximately 290×123×51 mm and occupies three expansion slots. It requires two 8-pin power connectors and a minimum 650W power supply. The retail price in Japan is set at 99,800 yen.
