Anton "dyrachyo" Shkredov Shares TI 2026 Favorites and Questions the Future of Dota 2
Former Gaimin Gladiators and Tundra Esports player Anton "dyrachyo" Shkredov has shared his expectations for The International 2026, naming Team Falcons, Team Yandex, and PARIVISION among the tournament's main favorites while expressing doubts about the state of the Dota 2 professional scene.
The interview was conducted on August 11, shortly before TI 2026 began. Dyrachyo's comments go beyond a simple list of contenders: he discussed the chances of Chinese teams, LGD Gaming's emergency replacement of TaiLung with Topson, the lack of young talent in Dota 2, and why he believes the International can once again produce unexpected results.
Dyrachyo Does Not Expect a "Wow Effect" From TI 2026
Despite The International remaining the biggest tournament in the Dota 2 calendar, Dyrachyo admitted that he was not particularly interested in traveling to the event himself. He also said he was approaching the tournament without high expectations, although he still hoped to see competitive games.
I'm not really interested in going to TI. I have certain expectations, but I wouldn't say I'm waiting for some kind of wow effect. We'll see how it goes. I hope there won't be any more stories with 322. I hope the teams will try to show their best game, although I don't really believe that.
One of his main concerns was the recent form of Chinese teams. With TI 2026 taking place in China, Dyrachyo expects the region to perform better than it has at recent tournaments.
I'll be very pleasantly surprised if the Chinese teams pull themselves together and start playing Dota instead of doing what they've been doing at the last few tournaments.
He also singled out Ame, saying that simply seeing the veteran carry play his best Dota 2 would already make the tournament more enjoyable for him.
Even just for him to play Dota 2. If he plays Dota 2, that will already be enough for me, because it would be sad to watch the Chinese teams play the same way they have been playing.
