All Four Chinese Teams Exit VALORANT Champions
All four teams from China have concluded their run at VALORANT Champions in Shanghai. The regional representatives—TYLOO, XLG Esports, EDward Gaming, and JD Gaming—were eliminated during the group stage, failing to reach the decisive matches required to advance to the playoffs.
The region's performance ended on a difficult note: across eight matches, the Chinese squads secured only two map wins out of 18 played. This resulted in an overall map score of 2-16.
TYLOO and XLG Esports were the first to be knocked out. In their elimination matches, TYLOO fell to Team Liquid 1-2, while XLG Esports lost to Nongshim RedForce 0-2. Notably, no Chinese team managed to win a single map during the opening round.
The remaining representatives, EDward Gaming and JD Gaming, exited on October 2. EDward Gaming lost to Global Esports 0-2, and JD Gaming was defeated by T1 with a score of 1-2. Consequently, the only map victories for China came from TYLOO and JD Gaming in their respective elimination matches.
Despite VALORANT Champions being held in Shanghai, the playoffs will proceed without any teams from the host region.
