100 Thieves to Face G2 Esports and NRG to Meet T1 in VALORANT Champions Playoffs
The matchups for the first round of the VALORANT Champions playoffs have been determined. In the upper bracket quarterfinals, 100 Thieves will face G2 Esports, while NRG will take on T1. The decisive stage matches are scheduled to begin on October 7.
The remaining two quarterfinals will feature Team Vitality against Nongshim RedForce and Paper Rex against LOUD. The winners of the 100 Thieves vs. G2 Esports and Team Vitality vs. Nongshim RedForce matchups will advance to meet each other in the next round. The second semifinal pair will be decided by the winners of the NRG vs. T1 and Paper Rex vs. LOUD series.
All eight teams will start in the upper bracket, maintaining the right to one loss. VALORANT Champions is currently taking place in Shanghai, China, running from September 24 to October 18, with a total prize pool of $2.25 million.
