Yoo Young-jin advances to ASL Season 22 Semifinals
Yoo Young-jin has advanced to the ASL Season 22 semifinals after a hard-fought 3-2 comeback victory against Lee Young-han. The match took place on September 21 at the FreeUp Studio.
During the quarterfinals, Yoo Young-jin managed to overturn a deficit to win the series 3-2. Following the match, the player admitted that this was his most challenging series of the current season, noting that he struggled significantly in the first two games against Mutalisks. He emphasized that his comeback was driven by successfully neutralizing the opponent's build and adapting his strategy mid-series.
This victory marks Yoo Young-jin's first appearance in the top four of a StarCraft tournament in six seasons. He is now set to face the winner of the matchup between Lee Jae-ho and Kim Jung-woo for a spot in the grand finals. Despite the progression, Yoo Young-jin stated he needs to improve his mental focus to maintain his performance in the next stage.
