xertioN admits MOUZ failed at StarLadder StarSeries Fall 2026

MOUZ captain Dorian "xertioN" Berman admitted that the team failed to perform at their usual level during StarLadder StarSeries Fall 2026. In an interview with HLTV.org, he stated that the squad was not mentally prepared for the tournament, leading to their elimination.

MOUZ's run in Barcelona ended in the lower bracket following a loss to FURIA. After an unexpected opening defeat against NRG, the team managed to bounce back by defeating NAVI, but they were unable to sustain that momentum through three consecutive best-of-three series.

According to xertioN, the primary issue was the team's inability to find their form. He noted that neither the victory over NAVI nor the loss to FURIA showed even a glimpse of their "B-game." The captain also suggested that the demanding schedule, including four weeks of traveling before the event, might have disrupted their competitive rhythm.

The map Cache emerged as another significant challenge. Opponents picked the map against MOUZ three times in a row, and the team struggled to find consistent counters. xertioN explained that his own adaptation to the map is a factor, as he is a new IGL and has not played Cache before.

Regarding the integration of newcomers Adrian "xelex" Vincze and Oldřich "PR" Nový, xertioN emphasized the need to find a balance between providing information and maintaining the players' confidence. He noted that both young players need to take steps to reach the level of the more experienced members of the roster.

Following their exit, MOUZ will focus on preparing for ESL Pro League Season 24, aiming to use the time to improve their preparation and mental state.
