Without a Roof defeat Marsborne in NSTLGA League Season 2 playoffs

The veteran squad from Without a Roof, featuring Jake "Stewie2K" Yip, delivered an old-fashioned beatdown against their opponents. The match took place in the $10,000 event, where WaR completed a significant upset by sweeping the series.

The first map, Ancient, began with Without a Roof securing their T-side pistol round and the following round. However, Marsborne claimed the lead by winning the next four rounds off the back of three retakes. The final rounds of the first half were split evenly, giving Marsborne a 7-5 lead heading into the second half. After switching sides, Without a Roof tied things up by winning their CT-side pistol and the following round. Round 15 went to Marsborne before Without a Roof posted a dominant CT-side performance, winning six out of the next seven rounds to take Ancient 13-9.

Moving onto Inferno, Marsborne initially had the momentum as they started their T-side up 4-0. The momentum shifted dramatically in Without a Roof's favor, with Vincent "Brehze" Cayonte leading the charge with eleven kills as WaR won seven out of the final eight rounds in the half to lead 7-5 heading onto their T-side. Without a Roof shocked Marsborne with a domineering T-side in the second half, winning the first five rounds in a row to secure a 12-5 lead while Marsborne were left in the dust dazed and confused. The Marsborne squad would finally lock down a round in round 18, however it was too little too late as Without a Roof won round 19 to take Inferno 13-6.

The series was a great showing for most of the Without a Roof squad. Timothy "autimatic" Ta, Tsvetelin "CeRq" Dimitrov, and Vincent "Brehze" Cayonte all ended the series with a rating of 1.31 or higher. Justin "FaNg" Coakley also contributed significantly with a positive K/D ratio.

With Without a Roof advancing to the Upper Bracket Semifinals, they will face the winner of the match between LAG and regain, with that match set to go live tonight at 09:00 PM.
