Vladi Becomes First in League of Legends History to Reach 5,000 LP
Fnatic mid laner Vladimíros "Vladi" Kurtidis set a new record for the European server. On August 10, he became the first player in League of Legends history to surpass 5,000 LP. At the time of achieving this milestone, he was leading his closest competitor by more than 800 LP, a feat also recognized by Sheep Esports.
Nearly 2,000 Ranked Matches This Season
Since the start of the 2026 season, Vladi has participated in 1,916 ranked queue matches. He has secured 1,044 wins and 872 losses, corresponding to a win rate of about 54%. Over the past week, the mid laner gained approximately 460 LP, and over the last 30 days, he added around 1,070 LP.
Among the champions he frequently used in solo queue since the beginning of the year were Ryze, Jayce, Azir, Cassiopeia, and Twisted Fate. However, this roster of champions noticeably differs from those Vladi often used in official matches for Fnatic.
The Previous EUW Record
Before Vladi's achievement, the European server record was held by Rudi "SkewMond" Semaan. In February 2025, he reached 2,263 LP, surpassing the previous record set by Muhammed "Agurin" Kojak. Thus, Vladi's new record more than doubles last year's EUW record.
The increase in maximum LP scores coincided with changes to the League of Legends ranking system in the 2026 season. Riot Games adjusted the Aegis of Valor mechanics and duo play rules at high ranks throughout the season. In patch 26.15, developers again changed the restrictions for Master: players of this rank were allowed to duo with users close in ranking, while separate restrictions apply for Grandmaster and Challenger.
Despite changes to the ranking system, the 5,000 LP mark had previously remained unattained. Vladi continues to hold the top spot on the European ladder with a significant lead over his nearest rival.
