Valve Fixed Two Meepo Bugs, Including an Item Duplication Exploit
Valve has fixed two bugs related to Meepo's abilities and Aghanim's Scepter in Dota 2. The issues included a glitch causing clones to disappear permanently and an exploit that allowed for item duplication. The changes were highlighted by Team Spirit analyst Mark "sikle" Lerman.
The first bug occurred when Aghanim's Scepter was removed or dropped during Megameepo's activation while clones were attached to the main hero. This caused the clones to vanish and never return to the game, even after the ability ended or the main Meepo respawned.
The second issue involved the timing of Megameepo's activation. If Aghanim's Scepter was dropped while a clone was flying toward the main hero, the clone could disappear mid-movement. However, it would continue to interact with items and their cooldowns. According to sikle, this allowed players to duplicate items and caused incorrect inventory states.
Both bugs have now been resolved. This is not the first time Meepo has required hotfixes in 2026; developers previously had to address several issues regarding his clones following the release of patch 7.41.
