Turtle Beach Unveils Flagship Stealth Pro II Wireless Gaming Headset
Turtle Beach has unveiled its flagship wireless gaming headset, the Stealth Pro II Wireless Gaming Headset. The device is now available in Japan with a starting price of 60,890 yen (including a loyalty program discount). Positioned as the successor to the Stealth Pro line, the new model introduces several technological upgrades over its predecessor.
Audio and Spatial Sound
The standout feature in terms of audio is support for the Hi-Res AUDIO WIRELESS standard, certified by the Japan Audio Society (JAS). This allows the headset to transmit signals at a sampling rate of up to 24-bit/96kHz. For spatial audio, the device utilizes Dolby Atmos technology to create an immersive sound environment.
The audio system is built around two 60mm Eclipse drivers that provide high-fidelity sound. The manufacturer states that audio and microphone settings can be customized via the proprietary Swarm II application.
Connectivity and Compatibility
The new model supports CrossPlay 2.0, allowing simultaneous connection to two wireless sources (such as a PC and console) and switching between four devices. This is achieved through the use of 2.4GHz radio and Bluetooth.
The microphone features an adaptive active noise cancellation system using four built-in microphones and AI algorithms for filtering background noise. A 9mm unidirectional floating microphone is also used.
Platform Compatibility
Two versions of the device are released, differing in console support:
- Xbox Model: Compatible with Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC (Windows 10+, USB 2.0+).
- PC Model: Compatible with PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, PC (Windows 10+, USB 2.0+), and Bluetooth devices.
The package includes two battery packs with a 40-hour runtime each, a dock for the transmitter, a USB cable, and a storage case.
