Tatu: "We have a good matchup against C9 and great form"
Tatu from FURIA believes that a favorable matchup and strong individual form were the keys to their victory over Cloud9, securing their spot in the next round of Worlds.
During the first round of the Play-In losers bracket at the Riot Games Arena, FURIA defeated C9 3-1. This result marks Cloud9 as the first team to be eliminated from the tournament. FURIA is now set to face MVK eSports in the second round of the losers bracket.
Pedro "Tatu" Seixas reflected on the team's turnaround, noting that they looked like a completely different squad compared to their previous performance. He mentioned that the team spent late hours analyzing LCK VODs to prepare for the series. "We feel our form is improving," Tatu stated, adding that their ability to compete for Elder Dragon and Soul in late-game scenarios gave them the confidence to overcome early deficits against C9.
Looking ahead to the clash with MVK eSports, Tatu remains focused on tactical adjustments. He admitted that in their previous encounter, MVK eSports successfully targeted his lane, limiting his impact on the game. He emphasized that the team is preparing a more definitive strategy to counter such pressure in their upcoming match.
