Suikoden STAR LEAP receives third main story chapter
KONAMI has released the first major story update for its mobile RPG Suikoden STAR LEAP. The update introduces Chapter 3 of the main storyline, which takes players to a new location: the legendary martial arts land of Shampia.
The new chapter takes place three years after the events of Chapter 2. The protagonists travel to Shampia to seek an alliance against an organization aiming to erase the power of the runes. However, the mission faces immediate resistance from Rachana, a local master who opposes the alliance, and the land itself comes under threat from the powerful Tenryu.
In addition to the narrative progression, the update introduces several key features:
- New Locations and Quests: Players will visit the village of Rokkaku, a location familiar to series veterans, and encounter new characters such as Tsubaki.
- Training Mechanics: To prepare for the confrontation with Tenryu, the protagonist must undergo rigorous training sessions under Rachana's guidance.
- Visual Enhancements: The chapter features new pixel art animations, including specialized dance sequences.
- Large-scale Combat: The story progression includes segments involving large-scale warfare elements.
Currently, Suikoden STAR LEAP is available on iOS and Android. Release dates for PC and international versions have not yet been announced.
