Sony's 240Hz PlayStation Monitor with DualSense Dock Is Now Available

Beyond the lengthy and somewhat redundant product name, the standout feature of this new display is its built-in, foldaway DualSense charging hook. This integrated dock serves a dual purpose: it provides a convenient place to store your DualSense or DualSense Edge wireless controller, and it keeps the device charged so you can pick up and play immediately without worrying about battery life.

Technically, this is a 27-inch In-Plane Switching (IPS) panel with a standard 2560x1440 resolution. It supports variable refresh rate (VRR) via FreeSync Premium and includes HDR support with Auto HDR Tone Mapping. The refresh rate is adaptive depending on the source: it runs at up to 120Hz for gaming on PlayStation 5 or PlayStation 5 Pro, and speeds up to 240Hz when connected to a PC.

For the same price of $349.99, consumers could snag a 26.7-inch Alienware QD-OLED model with a 240Hz refresh rate. Furthermore, there are plenty of non-OLED panels in the 27-inch category priced at a lot less, offering a compelling alternative for budget-conscious buyers.
