Rumor: Team Heretics Reaches Verbal Agreement with chloric
According to reports from Sheep Esports, Team Heretics has reached a verbal agreement with Cade "chloric" Heaton to join their VALORANT roster ahead of the VCT 2027 season. The American player is expected to take on the role of captain.
Reports suggest that chloric was the top candidate for the in-game leader position. While his contract with NAVI expires at the end of this year, the specific duration of the proposed agreement with Heretics has not been disclosed. No official announcement regarding the transfer has been made yet.
The move comes as Heretics undergoes a roster restructuring following an unsuccessful season and missing out on the world championship. chloric is expected to fill the void left by Richárdas "Boo" Lukaševicius, who departed the club on September 24 after a highly successful tenure that included titles at Esports World Cup 2025 and VCT 2026: EMEA Stage 1.
