Rumor: MONSTEERR to join Barça Esports
Barça Esports has reportedly reached a verbal agreement with Ondřej "MONSTEERR" Petrů to join their VALORANT roster for the VCT 2027 season, according to Sheep Esports. The Czech player is expected to become the fifth member of the revamped lineup.
MONSTEERR most recently competed for Eintracht Frankfurt, where he secured a victory in the VALORANT Challengers 2026 EMEA: Last Chance Qualifier and progressed through the Play-In to the VCT 2026: EMEA Stage 2 playoffs. The team's run ended following a defeat against Team Liquid, missing out on a spot at Champions.
Reports suggest that Barça Esports has also agreed to the transfers of Proxh, Pa1ze, and purp0. Meanwhile, Fit1nho is set to remain with the organization for a third season, and the coaching staff, which has been together for two years, is expected to stay intact. The club continues its pursuit of a partnership spot in VCT EMEA and is assembling a high-level roster regardless of the selection outcome.
Projected Barça Esports roster for 2027:
- Yusuf Emre "Proxh" Tunç
- Adolfo "Fit1nho" Gallego
- Mohammad "Pa1ze" Khatib
- Semyon "purp0" Borchev
- Ondřej "MONSTEERR" Petrů
