Rumor: Fortiche Is Working on a Feature-Length League of Legends Film
Fortiche, the studio behind the success of Arcane, might be working on a new large-scale project: a feature-length animated film set in the League of Legends universe. This possibility stems from the studio's financial reports.
According to Fortiche's 2023 management report, as discovered by a Reddit user, the studio has been developing several new projects for Riot Games. One of these is a feature-length film codenamed Keanu. The project's existence is supported by financial details: in February 2023, it received preliminary approval from France's National Centre for Cinema and the Moving Image (CNC) to qualify for an international tax credit. In 2023, Fortiche declared €377,346 in tax credits related to production expenses for Keanu.
This is not the first time details regarding upcoming League of Legends animation projects have surfaced. In late 2024, reports emerged that Fortiche employees were working on three separate projects set in Noxus, Ionia, and Demacia. However, current information does not confirm whether Keanu is linked to these specific regions or if the film is still in active development. Riot Games has yet to officially announce an animated feature.
