Rumor: FaZe Clan Plans VALORANT Comeback with Brazilian Roster
FaZe Clan is reportedly planning a return to the professional VALORANT scene with a new roster of Brazilian players, according to Lion Esports.
The organization intends to capitalize on the upcoming changes to the VCT format for the 2027 season, which will feature an open system. While specific player names, coaching staff, and the official announcement timeline remain unconfirmed, the focus is clearly on assembling a lineup of South American talent.
This potential move marks FaZe's second attempt to re-enter the discipline after their initial run from 2020 to 2023. Their peak achievement was finishing second at the Champions Tour North America Stage 1: Masters in 2021, where they fell to Sentinels in the grand final. The team disbanded its male roster in July 2023 following a failed attempt to qualify for Ascension and also parted ways with their Game Changers roster later that year.
The project gains additional momentum as Riot Games introduces fixed payouts for non-partnered teams. By qualifying for all major tournaments, a team can earn up to $1,100,000 in guaranteed funds excluding prize money, making participation significantly more attractive for large organizations like FaZe without partner status.
