Riot Games Penalizes Approximately 10,000 VALORANT Players
Riot Games has issued a new wave of sanctions in VALORANT, affecting approximately 10,000 players. The offenders utilized third-party software for instant agent selection (instalock) and tools designed to reveal streamers' Riot ID to facilitate stream sniping.
The enforcement action was reported by Mohamed "GamerDoc" Al-Sharifi from the Riot anti-cheat team. He stated that developers are actively refining detection technologies to combat these specific types of violations and will continue to take action against users employing such tools.
Penalties for stream sniping and the use of instalock programs were introduced alongside patch 13.05. The disciplinary measures range from temporary account restrictions for initial offenses to permanent bans for repeated violations. Riot has not specified the exact number of players who received permanent bans in this latest crackdown.
