Riot Games links mouse issues at Champions Shanghai to table material
The technical issues involving mice and input devices encountered by players on stage at VALORANT Champions 2026 were caused by the conductivity of the table materials. This was confirmed in a statement from the VALORANT Champions Tour account.
After identifying the cause, the technical team implemented a fix. Organizers reported that no further issues were observed during pre-match technical checks or the matches themselves. While the problem has been addressed, Riot Games did not specify the exact changes made to resolve the matter.
The organizers emphasized that maintaining competitive integrity is paramount and stated they will continue to monitor equipment performance throughout the event. VALORANT Champions 2026 is currently taking place in Shanghai, running from September 24 to October 18. Sixteen teams are competing for the world championship title and a $2.25 million prize pool.
