Riot Games Announces Patch 26.17 for League of Legends: Stabilization and New Changes
Riot Games has released a preliminary changelist for League of Legends with Patch 26.17. The update focuses on stabilizing the game after the adjustments introduced in version 26.16. According to the developers, changes from Patch 26.16 generally produced the expected results: bot-lane mages lost some win rate, though the decline was moderate, while adjustments to Poppy and Camille managed to weaken them in the support role without significantly hurting their performance in the top lane.
Patch 26.17 will also place additional focus on items Sundered Sky and Stormrazor. Riot believes the direction of the previous Sundered Sky and AP jungler changes was correct, but their impact has not been strong enough, so the item will receive another small-to-medium nerf. Stormrazor, on the other hand, will be buffed: the item is currently used mainly by Jhin, and the developers want to expand the number of champions who can benefit from it.

The following adjustments will be included in the update:
- Champion Buffs: Cho'Gath, Irelia, Hecarim, LeBlanc, Qiyana, Yasuo, Yone, Trundle, Aurelion Sol.
- Champion Nerfs: Nasus, Thresh, Xerath, Graves, Nocturne, Vayne.
- System and Item Adjustments: Buff to Stormrazor and further nerf to Sundered Sky.
The previous League of Legends patch was released on August 11. In that update, the developers changed the balance of seven champions, adjusted several items, increased magic resistance for marksmen, and reworked the support quest mechanic to limit early roaming from lane.
