Rainbow Six Siege Year 11 Season 2 Overview

Rainbow Six Siege Year 11 Season 2, titled Operation System Override, is set to launch on June 2, 2026. This season brings significant changes to the competitive landscape, including a full rework of operator Dokkaebi, the introduction of the new XK23 Assault Rifle, and the implementation of the updated Ranked 3.0 system. Additionally, the new map Calypso Casino, inspired by the Rainbow Six: Vegas universe, joins the main playlists from day one.

Key Changes and New Features

The Operation System Override season alters game balance and introduces new mechanics. A central feature is the full rework of operator Dokkaebi. Her old gadget, Logic Bomb, is replaced by the Jegeo Payload. This new mechanism allows uploading malware to defender phones; if ignored, infected devices explode, dealing damage and denying areas. This shifts attack tactics toward more active engagement and time control.

The arsenal gains a new weapon: the XK23 Assault Rifle. It is available for operators Dokkaebi, Rauora, and Sens. The rifle features a 35-round magazine and a steady fire rate, making it suitable for controlled engagements at mid-range.

The new map, Calypso Casino, joins the ranked playlist on launch day. It offers tight interiors and layered routes where early intel matters. Simultaneously, maps Villa, Skyscraper, Theme Park, and the updated Kanal leave the ranked pool.

Three existing maps—Emerald Plains, Outback, and the updated Kanal—receive visual improvements including better lighting, textures, and environmental details, though their layouts remain unchanged.

Ranked 3.0 System

The new Ranked 3.0 system removes hidden MMR, making visible rank the primary factor for matchmaking. Before receiving a starting rank, players must complete five placement matches (placement matches). Progress in the rewards track is awarded per match: wins grant 2 points, losses grant 1 point.

Squad restrictions are also introduced. Rank gaps between teammates can be up to three full ranks (from Copper to Emerald) or two full ranks (from Diamond to Champion). The Champion division is split into five sub-divisions: V, IV, III, II, and I. A new Legend division is scheduled for a future season.

Operator and Weapon Balance

Balance changes affect several operators:
Gridlock: Trax Stingers now cause limping for 10 seconds, deploy faster, and have 35 HP.
Zofia: returns to the 2 Speed / 2 Health stat block.
Nomad: Airjab detection range increases from 3m to 3.25m.
Mozzie: Pest capture range increases from 1.5m to 1.75m.
Pulse: Cardiac Sensor scan distance increases from 9m to 10.5m.
Solis: SPEC-IO reload time and Overclock duration increase from 15 to 17 seconds.
Deimos: DeathMARK target delay drops from 5 seconds to 4 seconds.

Console Mouse and Keyboard Support

Mid-season, mouse and keyboard support will be added for consoles, but only within the PC crossplay pool. Controller lobbies will remain isolated.

Events and Trial Operators

Events M.U.T.E Protocol: Flesh & Metal and Rengoku return. Additionally, a Rotating Trial Operators system allows free testing of operators in various modes, including Ranked.
