PlayStation Plus Monthly Games for October: F1 25, Hunt: Showdown 1896, and Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2
Sony Interactive Entertainment has revealed the PlayStation Plus monthly games lineup for October. The selection includes the racing simulator F1 25, the extraction shooter Hunt: Showdown 1896, and the voxel-style Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2. Members can claim these titles from Tuesday, October 6, until Monday, November 2.
Leading the lineup is F1 25, the official video game of the 2025 FIA Formula One World Championship. The title features single-player experiences like Career mode and the updated My Team 2.0, where players can manage their own Formula 1 team. Additionally, a new multiplayer mode in F1 World allows players to compete in squads against AI drivers.
Next is Hunt: Showdown 1896, a new era for the unforgiving extraction shooter. Set in corrupted backwaters, players must track down bosses and fight through ruthless Hunters to claim bounties and escape. The game supports solo play or cooperative sessions with up to two teammates.
Rounding out the selection is Earth Defense Force: World Brothers 2, available on both PS5 and PS4. This voxel-based title tasks players with defending the planet from giant enemies by assembling four-soldier teams. The game features characters from both the mainline EDF series and its spin-offs, offering four-player online co-op and two-player local split-screen.
