Path of Exile 2 patch 0.5.0 Return of the Ancients launches on May 29 with 50+ hours of new content
Grinding Gear Games has dated Path of Exile 2 update 0.5.0 for May 29, 2026. The patch adds more than 50 hours of endgame content, new bosses, new Ascendancies, and a major Atlas overhaul.

Grinding Gear Games has announced that Return of the Ancients, the 0.5.0 update for Path of Exile 2, will launch on May 29, 2026 at 20:00 UTC. The patch will be available on PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X/S for all early access owners.
The last major early access milestone
The studio describes update 0.5.0 as the biggest early access patch so far and the final major step before version 1.0. Players can expect over 50 hours of fresh endgame progression, 15 new bosses, two new Ascendancy classes, and a reworked Atlas with more than 300 nodes.
Patch notes are scheduled for May 21, while the full release lands on May 29.
