Rumor: paiN benches piriajr
paiN is reportedly making another roster change. Guilherme "piriajr" Barbosa is moving to the bench ahead of two upcoming September LANs. Academy player Lucas "Tatu" Santana is set to step in for Circuit X Curitiba #3, marking his debut at the main team level.
This marks the second departure from the active roster in under two weeks. On September 4, Vinicius "vsm" Moreira was also benched, with Rickzon "Rkzinho" Ribeiro promoted from the Academy to fill his spot. Rkzinho has already represented the team during the PGL Masters Bucharest closed qualifiers. These consecutive moves suggest a deliberate roster overhaul within paiN.
piriajr joined the organization on loan from Bounty Hunters in January before a permanent transfer in April. During his tenure, he competed in 18 tournaments and secured one title at Circuit X Mayhem in São Paulo. His long-term future with the organization remains unclear following this benching.
For Tatu, who has been with the paiN Academy since 2024, this is his first opportunity to compete in the main roster. Circuit X Curitiba #3 takes place from this Thursday to Sunday, featuring a $20,000 prize pool. It is currently undecided whether Tatu will remain with the team for FERJEE InHouse #2 in Rio de Janeiro.
