Orbit enters NA Counter-Strike 2 scene with ex-F5
American organization Orbit has signed the ex-F5 roster, marking their entry into the NA Counter-Strike 2 scene.
American organization Orbit has entered the Counter-Strike 2 scene by signing the former F5 lineup. This marks the organization's first roster in the title.
The roster has been looking for a new home since October 5, when F5 released the players ahead of the organization's planned shutdown by the end of 2026. The current iteration of Orbit Esports was founded in 2023 and reportedly includes original founder Nathan "BillyG" Sheridan and members of the content creation team within its leadership.
The Orbit name carries significant history in esports. The original Orbit Esports operated from 2012 to 2018, primarily known for its Call of Duty teams and a notable CS:GO roster that nearly qualified for the ESL One Cologne 2016 Major Offline Qualifier. After merging with Red Reserve in 2018, the brand has been revived on three separate occasions by different parties across Europe and North America.
The newly signed squad is currently ranked 71st in the Americas and is competing in ESEA Open9-10 Season 59 with an 8–0 record. Their next match is scheduled against Stand On Business on November 2.
