NSTLGA League Swiss R2: Beyond Limits and Axial score upsets

Two days into the tournament, the unpredictable nature of the BO1 format has produced notable results. Both NuTorious and Chicken Coop fell to unranked opponents, while top-seeded teams SportsBetExpert, LAG, and Marsborne maintained their 2-0 records. Without a Roof finished the round with a 1-1 record.

In their match on Inferno, Beyond Limits defeated NuTorious 16-13. Mason "Pr0mise" Maher dominated the map, finishing with 31 kills and a 1.76 rating. After both teams reached seven rounds on the CT side, the match went to overtime. Pr0mise scored back-to-back triple kills, helping Beyond Limits win three consecutive rounds in extended time to close out the victory.

Axial beat Chicken Coop 13-10 on Dust2. After forcing SportsBetExpert into overtime in Round 1, Axial proved their threat with a seven-round attacking streak that gave them a 9-3 lead at halftime. Although Chicken Coop clawed back with several multi-kills from Jared "jared" Habib, Axial held on to win the match. Matthew "swayu" Norton led Axial with 23 kills, while Dave "seziwana" Schrage posted the best rating at 1.41.

Other results from Round 2 include LAG beating DETONATE 16-12, SportsBetExpert defeating For Fun 13-5, and Marsborne winning against Without a Roof 13-4. Iowa Stormboar took Wanted Goons 13-7, FarmVille beat regain 13-10, and Overtake Sector defeated Villainous 13-6.

Round 3 features several high-stakes matchups. In the 2-0 bracket, Marsborne faces LAG in a best-of-three, while SportsBetExpert plays Iowa Stormboar in another Bo3. The 1-1 bracket includes Without a Roof against Beyond Limits and Overtake Sector versus Axial. In the 0-2 bracket, Chicken Coop meets Villainous and regain faces NuTorious, both in best-of-three series.
