NEXUS partners with Fasset to build stablecoin-based financial infrastructure
NEXUS is partnering with Dubai-based digital finance firm Fasset to expand its global payment and settlement infrastructure through the use of stablecoins.
The strategic memorandum of understanding (MOU) was announced during Korea Blockchain Week (KBW 2026). The partnership aims to explore multifaceted collaboration models, such as integrating payment systems, establishing stablecoin-based settlement processes, and co-branding digital financial products.
A key component of the agreement is a joint proof of concept (PoC) to integrate NEXUS's payment system with Fasset's technology for converting fiat and virtual assets. Additionally, the companies will establish a joint task force to meet quarterly and research the development of stablecoin infrastructure pegged to the UAE Dirham (AED) and the South Korean Won (KRW).
This move follows NEXUS's acquisition of ONEstore as a subsidiary in June, a step intended to strengthen its digital content distribution. By combining existing fiat-centered networks with stablecoin ecosystems, NEXUS aims to create an integrated pipeline for distribution, payments, and settlements.
Fasset is an AI-powered platform that secured a Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP) license from Dubai's VARA in 2023. The company recently raised $68 million in a Series C funding round led by SBI Group, reaching a market valuation of $1 billion. Currently, Fasset operates in 125 countries, managing over 3 million wallets and serving more than 1,000 corporate clients.
