MSI MPG 322UR X24: New 32-inch QD-OLED Monitor with 4K Resolution and 240Hz Refresh Rate

MSI has launched the new MPG 322UR X24 monitor, built on Samsung Display's 4th Gen Penta Tandem panel. The device combines 4K resolution with a 240Hz refresh rate, offering improved brightness and anti-glare coating compared to previous models.

MSI has introduced the new gaming monitor MSI MPG 322UR X24, which is the first in the brand's lineup based on Samsung Display Penta Tandem technology (also known as QD-OLED 4th Gen). This is a 31.5-inch model with a resolution of 3480 x 2160 pixels and a maximum refresh rate of 240Hz. The new device is positioned as the successor to last year's MSI MPG 321URX, but it uses a fresher EL 3.0 panel that promises higher brightness and improved anti-glare coating.

The main technical change in the new model is the transition to Penta Tandem technology. Essentially, this is a marketing name for QD-OLED 4th Gen panels using EL 3.0 material. Previously, similar technology debuted on the 27-inch MSI MPG 272URX at the beginning of 2025. Now it is available on 32-inch screens, allowing to achieve 4K resolution without a significant drop in refresh rate.

The manufacturer claims several key improvements compared to previous QD-OLED panels: higher peak brightness in HDR (up to 1000 nits versus standard values of predecessors) and a new anti-glare coating that should improve the perception of black levels. The monitor also features an AI Care Sensor, which MSI introduced last year for user eye protection.

It is important to note the absence of the RGB sub-pixel structure (RGB stripe layout), which was applied in last year's 34-inch MSI MPG 341CQR X36. This means that color accuracy and brightness will be determined by the standard QD-OLED sub-pixel structure, not a specific RGB matrix.

In terms of interfaces, the model is equipped with two HDMI 2.1 ports with HDCP 2.3 support and one DisplayPort 2.1a port operating in UHBR20 (20 Gbps) mode. This provides sufficient bandwidth for transmitting a 4K signal at 240Hz with HDR support. There is also one USB Type-C port with DP Alt Mode, two USB Type-A ports, and a headphone output.

The screen has a flat panel and supports adaptive synchronization NVIDIA G-SYNC Compatible and AMD FreeSync™ Premium Pro. The VRR range is from 48 to 240Hz. The stated contrast ratio reaches 1,500,000:1, while peak brightness in HDR mode is 1000 nits at 300 nits SDR.

The cost of the model is £799 (approx. $849 at the time of publication) on OCUK and Scan sites. This makes the monitor an affordable option for those looking for a combination of high resolution and high refresh rate in a 32-inch format.

The package includes DisplayPort, HDMI, USB Type-A to Type-B, and USB Type-C to Type-C cables, as well as a power supply. The monitor supports a VESA 100x100mm swivel stand and has height adjustment from 0 to 110mm.

At the moment, this is a 2026 novelty, and it should be compared with last year's MSI MPG 321URX, which used 3rd Gen panels. Independent tests have not yet been published, so final conclusions about performance gain and image quality will be made after benchmark results are released.
