MSI MEG CORELIQUID E15 Review: An AMOLED Display for $400
MSI is pushing the boundaries of AIO aesthetics with its new flagship, the MEG CORELIQUID E15. The standout feature is undoubtedly the massive 6.67-inch curved AMOLED display with 2K resolution, capable of running custom animations or acting as an extended monitor. But with an MSRP approaching $400, the question remains: can it deliver the thermal performance to match its premium positioning?
Cooling Technology and Build Quality
The MEG CORELIQUID E15 utilizes a 360mm radiator with a 30mm thickness and a specialized fan configuration. Implementing Laminar Focus technology, the three 120mm fans are housed in a single frame, with the center fan spinning in reverse to mitigate turbulence and reduce noise. A built-in safeguard is also included, which automatically ramps up the remaining fans if one unit fails.
Installation is designed to be as clean as possible. Through the EZ Conn single-cable design, the screen, fans, ARGB, and pump are all managed via one connection. The display itself attaches via magnetic POGO-PIN connectors, and 90-degree tube clips are provided to ensure neat tubing management within the chassis.
Performance and Display Capabilities
The 6.67-inch display is more than just a glorified pump cover. With a 110-degree curved viewing angle and support for full-screen video or split-screen modes, it offers significant utility for system monitoring or aesthetics. However, for high-end builds featuring chips like the AMD Ryzen 9 9950X, thermal efficiency remains the ultimate priority.
On the technical side, the pump operates at up to 3000 RPM, while the fans range from 800 to 2300 RPM. Under load, the noise level is rated at approximately 39.58 dBA. With support for LGA 1700, LGA 1851, and AM5/AM4 sockets, the E15 is positioned as a high-end solution for modern, high-performance PC builds.
