Metro 2039 Pre-Orders Open: DLC and Edition Lineup Revealed
Deep Silver and 4A Games have officially opened digital pre-orders for Metro 2039. Alongside the pre-order launch, the developers revealed the contents of various editions and confirmed the inclusion of a story expansion DLC in the premium tier.
The game is scheduled to launch on February 5, 2027 (KST) for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and the Epic Games Store.
Digital pre-orders are currently available in Standard and Deluxe Editions. The Deluxe Edition bundles the base game with the Story Expansion DLC, a digital art book, and a digital soundtrack. Customers who pre-order will also receive the Specialist Pack, which offers early unlocks for three exclusive backpack upgrades based on a new exploration feature called 'Blueprints'. These upgrades—the Equipment Specialist Pouch, Chemtech Specialist Pouch, and Munitions Specialist Pouch—are designed to assist the protagonist, The Stranger, by speeding up crafting, aiding in gas mask filter collection, or increasing the frequency of finding rare ammunition.
Physical editions, including Standard, Deluxe, and Collector's Editions, will be released at a later date. The Collector's Edition is set to feature a physical replica of the 'Spartan Helmet' and includes:
- The game disc and a limited SteelBook;
- A hardcover art book;
- Story Expansion DLC, a digital art book, and the digital soundtrack.
To coincide with the announcement, the developers released a pre-order trailer and a showcase video for the Collector's Edition.
