Material Crate locations in Canada

The journey begins in Canada, where you can find a total of 15 crates across several missions. Most of these are encountered during the main story progression.

• Homecoming: You will receive 2 crates as part of the story while assisting Walter.
• The One That Got Away: There are 4 crates here. Look for one between large wooden crates after the zipline, one in the sewer tunnel under the damaged warehouse, one by a painting in the woods, and one on top of a crane at the docks.
• Raise Some Hell: This mission contains 4 crates. Check the cliff edge after the first jump, a dead end following the water at ground level, a trailer with icicles near the refinery, and one inside a truck near the stairs after unlocking Hot Claws.
• Strays: There is only 1 crate, located in the suit-up corridor while searching for Leech's drawings.
• Something Much Stronger: You can track 4 crates here: one on a ledge by a tree near a waterfall, one on a small island halfway across a fallen tree, one in the fishing hut to the right of the path split, and one to the right of the cabin.

Material Crate locations in Madripoor Part One

As you move into Madripoor Part One, the search continues with 9 crates available to collect.

• Knock Knock: 2 crates are available. One is behind the desk in the power station, and the other is behind a grate in the wall that you can cut through.
• Mutant Detected: There are 4 crates here. Look behind the desk under the Trask Industries sign, in a room to the right after Mystique opens a door, in a room behind a locked door (use code 0291), and one to the left of the propulsion tunnel.
• One Last Mission: 3 crates are hidden here. One is through the circular doorway on the right in the bar, one is at the bottom of the stairs beside the Noodle Bar, and the last is at the end of the pier near the water.

The Japan region is the most dense, offering 25 crates across various missions. This is where most of your collection efforts will take place.

Get Angry & Bad Blood

In Get Angry, you can find 5 crates: one in an alley behind the 'Smash.Compete' shop, one to the right of the elevator in the bar, one behind wooden boxes after the first illusion, one on a metal structure after swinging across bars, and one behind metal shelves in the first room after the elevator. In Bad Blood, there are 4 crates: one on the rooftop before the Shiro building, one on the scaffolding to the right of the entrance, one on a level below the construction site after following a scent trail, and one to the right of the construction site after the platform sequence.

In The Shadows & Death Comes to Death

The mission In The Shadows contains 7 crates: one at the bottom of the arcade steps, one on a rooftop near a dinosaur head, one on a rooftop to the left of a powerbox, one on a rooftop behind a massive dinosaur, one next to a digger truck at the base of the construction site, one at the end of a tunnel near the shrine, and one on a rooftop beneath a zipline. In Death Comes to Death, there are 3 crates: one on the roof at the start, one under a large pipe, and one to the right of the elevator after the steam room.

We Were Wrong & Hell Followed With Him

In We Were Wrong, you'll find 5 crates: behind the Alchemax truck, on a ledge above the restaurant stage, in an alley near an overturned car, behind a truck in the construction site, and at the bottom of the basement stairs. In Hell Followed With Him, there are 4 crates: on a ledge at the end of the forest, behind a building to the left when exploring the stronghold, at the top of the stairs by the memorial, and to the left upon entering the Shrine.

Sinister Tidings

There is only 1 crate in Sinister Tidings, located in a secret room inside Shiro's closet after the conversation with Essex in the bathroom mirror.

Material Crate locations in Madripoor Part Two

The final stretch in Madripoor Part Two contains 13 crates to complete your collection.

• Way Down Low: 4 crates are found inside the three different dormant trucks (all interiors are identical, so check each one) and one on a rooftop south of the radio tower.
• Roll The Dice: 1 crate is located to the right of the elevator after the casino ambush.
• Field Test: 2 crates are here: one to the left when leaving the Fish Market, and one among the stalls in the market square when the sniper appears.
• I'm Still Here: 5 crates are scattered: one to the right after the MK2 Sentinel fight, one at a dead end following the street to the right, one on the middle floor of the Noodle Bar (after sliding down a ramp), one on the bottom floor of a destroyed building near Mystique's hideout, and one on the street to the left of the Power Plant.
• This Was The Dream: The final 3 crates are found: one to the right after using the rope from the basement, one on the left after breaking the window in the bar illusion, and one on the left after the institute illusion.
