Marsborne tops ESEA Advanced S58 regular season
Marsborne secured the top seed for the ESEA Advanced Season 58 playoffs after finishing the regular season with a 12-1 record. The tournament now moves to a 32-team playoff bracket, where four spots in the ESEA Season 58 Finals are up for grabs.
The regular season concluded with a strong field of North American teams, a turnout attributed to the lack of major tournaments in the region following the IEM Cologne Major. Marsborne claimed the first position with their sole defeat coming against Club 333. They are followed in the standings by LAG (12-1), SportsBetExpert (11-3), and Zomblers (11-3).
Other notable teams advancing to the playoffs include Chicken Coop, NuTorious, Overtake Sector, EMPIRE, and Villainous. Meanwhile, several teams missed the cut, including NorthForge (7-7), Shimmer (6-8), and regain (5-9).
The playoffs are scheduled to begin on September 2nd. The four teams that emerge from the Advanced bracket will join twelve others from lower ESEA divisions to compete for a $33,500 prize pool and VRS points in the Season 58 Finals.
