Mandatory Unveils International Roster for 2027 Season
French organization Mandatory has announced its new VALORANT roster for the 2027 season. The club has completely overhauled its player lineup and coaching staff, shifting away from its previous approach of building a French-speaking roster in favor of an international squad.
The team's duelist will be Dominikas "MiniBoo" Lukasiavicius, who previously played for Team Liquid. Joining him is Kimmi "Kicks" Laasner, who will take on the controller role after playing for Liquid's main roster during the second half of the season. Patrick "starxo" Kopczynski, formerly of Gentle Mates, will lead the team as captain.
The lineup is completed by Sylvain "Veqaj" Patten (formerly of Fnatic) and Emil "runneR" Trajkovski (previously with Joblife), who will occupy the flex and sentinel positions, respectively. In the 2026 season, Mandatory competed in French Challengers and qualified for the VCT 2026: EMEA Stage 2 play-in via the Last Chance Qualifier.
