Mabinogi Mobile introduces external AI connector for in-game tasks
Nexon has officially announced the integration of external AI tools into Mabinogi Mobile, launching a new feature called the 'Mabinogi Mobile AI Connector (Beta)'. Available on PC during the beta period, this system allows players to connect their preferred AI software directly to the game client. The update introduces two primary modes: 'Ask' for retrieving in-game data and 'Delegate' for automating gathering and crafting tasks.
Players can now utilize external AI agents to interact with Mabinogi Mobile without needing to manually open the game interface. The supported AI tools include Claude Code, Cursor, Gemini CLI, Windsurf, Kiro, and OpenCode. To activate the feature, users must install one of these supported AI tools on their PC and enable the 'AI Connector' within the game's settings under 'Environment Settings - Game'. The client will automatically detect and register the connection information. By default, the function is disabled, ensuring users retain full control to turn it off at any time.
The core functionality is divided into two distinct categories. The 'Ask' mode allows players to query various game statistics instantly, including character stats, location coordinates, weather, time, currency, inventory weight, quest status, daily and weekly missions, and lists of nearby NPCs, players, materials, sheet music, and instruments. This eliminates the need to navigate through menus to check basic information.
The 'Delegate' mode focuses on automation for resource gathering and facility production. Users can instruct the AI agent to collect items up to a specific quantity or move resources to facilities for crafting. The system supports monitoring processing progress, receiving finished products, changing instruments, and stopping actions mid-process. To facilitate this automated movement, the game utilizes 'Spirit Wings' during travel. However, to prevent passive play, the system requires a check-in response in the confirmation window every hour for continuous use.

Despite these advancements, Nexon has clearly defined the boundaries of what the AI Connector cannot do. The feature does not support automated trading on the exchange, purchasing items, or any form of auto-play related to character growth. Financial transactions, including payments and usage of the cash shop, remain strictly manual. Furthermore, social interactions such as guild bans, appointments, 1:1 chat messages, item discarding/deconstruction, and integration with external messengers or social media platforms are not supported. The AI agent also cannot log in on behalf of the user; it only operates while the player is actively logged into the game.
Regarding privacy and data security, Nexon has issued a specific clarification: while the system can query the status of nearby players, personal information written directly by the adventurer is never transmitted to the AI tool. Character names, guild names, and chat content are explicitly excluded from being sent to the external AI. Guild or party relationship information may be transmitted, but it will be stripped of player names.

Looking ahead, Nexon plans to release new features sequentially after thorough verification. In addition to the AI Connector, the upcoming update will introduce several convenience features for all users, regardless of whether they use the AI tool. These include increased basic search quantities when using the 'Request Method' and an auto-retry function for dungeons upon entry without a regional mission. The ability to instantly restart the Abyss dungeon will also be added in this same update.
