Luminosity make playoffs at Logitech G Play Connect
Luminosity have secured their place in the Logitech G Play Connect playoffs. The team finished the Bo1 stage of the Polish LAN with a 3-2 record, ensuring their progression in Counter-Strike 2.
It was a rollercoaster day for the squad. Luminosity opened with a 7:13 loss to GamerLegion on Nuke, but bounced back with a 13:9 victory over Metizport on Mirage. After a narrow 11:13 defeat to B8 on Dust2, the team found their rhythm, defeating M80 13:4 on Ancient and clinching the playoff spot with a 13:11 win over Ninjas in Pyjamas on Ancient.
The victory against NIP was decisive; without it, a three-way tie between Luminosity, NIP, and GamerLegion would have seen NIP advance instead. This performance marks a positive turnaround for the organization following a difficult start in Counter-Strike 2 and their recent second-place finish at the Roman Imperium Cup VIII.
Aleks "Rainwaker" Petrov was the standout performer, posting a 1.22 rating across five maps. Aurélien "afro" Drapier also delivered a strong performance with a 1.19 rating. Luminosity will return to action in the playoffs on September 19th.
