LOS Defeats LOUD to Qualify for Worlds 2026
LOS defeated LOUD 3:2 in the upper bracket final of CBLOL 2026 Split 2. The victory has officially qualified the team for Worlds 2026 and advanced them to the Brazilian split grand final, scheduled for October 10th.
The series was a back-and-forth battle. LOS took control early, winning the first two maps 13:7 and 17:6. LOUD fought back to claim two consecutive victories, taking the third map 25:18 and the fourth 18:17. In the decisive fifth game, LOS dominated with a 19:2 victory, ending the match in just over 31 minutes.
Gabriel "Ackerman" Aparicio recorded the best average K/D/A for LOS during the series at 0.7/1.8/12.0. While LOS has already secured their participation in Worlds 2026 regardless of the grand final outcome, LOUD moves to the lower bracket to fight for the remaining regional slot and a spot in the final series.
However, LOS still faces an uphill battle regarding their league status. Having entered CBLOL as a guest organization via the Promotion Tournament, the team must compete in a separate tournament later this season to retain their spot in the league for the 2027 season.
