Little Witch in the Woods for Switch launches September 16
SUNNY SIDE UP has confirmed the release date for their title Little Witch in the Woods on the Nintendo Switch. The game is scheduled to launch on September 16.
The Switch version will include the latest content and major improvements from the PC version. As of the announcement, the game has sold more than 500,000 copies worldwide.
Little Witch in the Woods first launched in Early Access for Xbox One and PC via Steam and Microsoft Store on May 17, 2022. A full release for PC followed on Steam on September 15, 2025. The Xbox One and Microsoft Store PC versions remain in Game Preview.
In the new Switch port, players will experience the daily life of apprentice witch Ellie in Lucerein Ortu. Witches live together in "Witch Houses" and send their apprentices to help nearby villages. Upon successful completion of the apprenticeship, the character can become a formal witch.
Key features highlighted by the developer include gathering and processing materials to create potions, exploring a mysterious fantasy world to find unique areas and cute creatures, and discovering hidden places with special items or shortcuts. The game also features a system for gifting items to deepen friendships with village characters and interacting with various creatures, including cats.
