League of Legends Patch 26.22 Full Preview
Riot Games has revealed the preview for League of Legends Patch 26.22. The update will affect Mel, Viktor, Yasuo, and several other champions, alongside adjustments to Overlord’s Bloodmail and Doran’s Bow.
Viktor is set to receive adjustments as Riot Games noted that previous nerfs went further than intended. While his reduced base movement speed will remain to emphasize his vulnerability without assistance, Patch 26.22 aims to restore some of his lost power through increased scaling.
Locke will also undergo balancing. Developers believe his current state is close to intended, but his early Q damage and W movement speed are slightly overtuned. The changes aim to reduce his early burst and limit the repetitive mobility provided by W without removing its impact during active use.
Champion Changes
The patch includes buffs for Aurelion Sol, Corki, Kayle, Maokai, Naafiri, Rumble, Shen, Smolder, and Zaahen. Shen is specifically being strengthened for jungle play, while his top lane and support presence remains unchanged. Smolder receives another buff following the underwhelming impact of his previous adjustment.

On the nerf side, Locke, Thresh, and Yasuo will see reductions. Yasuo will experience a slight decrease in Q damage. Additionally, Mel is scheduled for a Midscope Update.
Items and Systems
Regarding items, Overlord’s Bloodmail will see an increase in base AD, though its retribution bonus based on missing HP will be slightly reduced. Conversely, Doran’s Bow will receive a nerf to its base AD.
