League of Legends Patch 26.21: Azir and Orianna Buffs

Riot Games has released the preview for League of Legends Patch 26.21. As the first major update following Worlds 2026, the patch aims to stabilize the Ranked environment ahead of the end-of-season climb.

The developers intend to restore power to champions whose win rates were suppressed due to their presence in professional play, specifically Azir, Orianna, and Ryze. Conversely, picks like Yone, Lee Sin, Caitlyn, and Tristana will receive nerfs. Notably, the decision to nerf Yone was driven by player surveys indicating high levels of frustration with the champion.

Item changes include a reduction in raw combat power for Bastion Breaker in exchange for a stronger objective-focused strategic identity. Gluttonous Greaves and Hubris will be nerfed, while Dawncore is set to receive a buff to make it a more viable capstone purchase for enchanters.

The patch also features several champion adjustments. Darius, Miss Fortune, Nunu, Sion, Taliyah, Vel'Koz, Xin Zhao, and Zyra will receive buffs. On the nerf side, Jinx, Nidalee, Qiyana, Rammus, Viktor, and Wukong will see reductions. Additionally, Locke will undergo power-neutral adjustments to ability usage, and Varus will see a shift in power from W-max builds toward Q-max builds.
