KT Rolster vs Dplus KIA: LCK Playoffs Decide Final Worlds Spot
The final 2026 League of Legends World Championship ticket will be decided when KT Rolster and Dplus KIA meet in the LCK Play-In Round 2.
The match is scheduled for September 4 at the LCK Arena in Seoul. KT Rolster enters the game after a 0-3 loss to Gen.G in the Play-In Round 1, while Dplus KIA advanced following a 3-2 comeback victory over BNK FearX in the Play-In Round 1.
Three teams have already secured their spots for the World Championship: Hanwha Life Esports, Gen.G, and T1. The winner of this match will claim the last available ticket, while the loser will end their season.
The two teams have a complex history this season. KT Rolster won both the first and second rounds against Dplus KIA, as well as the 'Road to MSI' series 3-2. However, Dplus KIA swept KT Rolster in the third and fourth rounds. Most recently, KT Rolster defeated Dplus KIA 3-0 in the Play-In Round 1.
KT Rolster head coach Go Dong-bin described the match as potentially the most important of the year, promising to prepare thoroughly. Dplus KIA head coach Kim Dae-ho acknowledged KT Rolster as a solid opponent with strong individual players, stating that his team must maintain their consistent performance to secure the win.
