KONAMI Announces Japanese Release Date for Mobile RPG 'Suikoden STAR LEAP'

KONAMI has officially announced the release date for the Japanese version of its new mobile RPG, Suikoden STAR LEAP. The game will launch on iOS and Android devices on August 7th. It is a free-to-play title with in-app purchases.

This new entry is not merely a port of an older title or a spin-off; it is designed as a canonical addition to the main Suikoden universe. The game aims to inherit the series' charm, featuring a heavy narrative about war and encounters with over 108 companions, while presenting these stories with evolved dot-matrix graphics.

In conjunction with the announcement, details regarding voice actors and illustrators for some characters have been revealed. Four new characters were specifically named: Avery (CV: Aoi Shota), Belladonna (CV: Kinoshawa Sawa), Yume (CV: Iguchi Yuka), and Luar (CV: Kitou Akari). Character PVs for these individuals have also been made public.

To celebrate the upcoming release, a live stream titled 'Suikoden Live Vol.7『Genkai SP』Release Pre-Event' is scheduled to air on August 6th at 20:00. Additionally, an autograph giveaway campaign has begun, featuring signed papers from voice actors Yuuichi Nakamura (Flick) and Harika Shiraishi (Odessa).
