knight's Orianna Dominates Teamfights, BLG Takes 1-0 Lead
In Game 1 of the Worlds 2026 Swiss Stage, BLG secured a 1-0 lead over Hanwha Life Esports thanks to knight's stellar Orianna performance.
BLG took a 1-0 lead over Hanwha Life Esports in the opening match of the 2026 LoL World Championship (Worlds) Swiss Stage. The deciding factor was knight's commanding Orianna, whose massive Shockwave secured the victory in a critical teamfight.
The match took place on November 1 at the Credit Union of Texas Event Center in Allen, Texas. BLG secured First Blood early on when Xun's Lee Sin and knight's Orianna eliminated ZEKA's Cassiopeia. During a subsequent skirmish over Void Grubs, Hanwha Life Esports managed to take down Nautilus and Vi, with Delight's Alistar holding his ground effectively.
Hanwha Life Esports maintained pressure by securing the Rift Herald and a second dragon, briefly overturning the gold lead. However, the scaling potential of knight's Orianna remained a constant threat. By the 34-minute mark, the gold gap had vanished, leading to a tense, cautious stalemate.
Hanwha Life Esports attempted to capitalize on a Baron buff to push the top lane and destroy an inhibitor. However, BLG responded decisively during a fight over the dragon. A massive Shockwave from knight's Orianna crushed Hanwha Life Esports, allowing BLG to claim Game 1.
