karrigan: Falcons Need to Move Away from Dust2

Falcons advanced to the BLAST Open Fall playoffs after a challenging group stage that featured losses to Lynn Vision and MOUZ. In a post-match interview, karrigan explained the team's deliberate strategy to diversify their map pool and reduce their heavy reliance on Dust2.

The team selected Ancient three times during the event and lost each match. karrigan stated that this persistence is a calculated effort to move away from Dust2, which they have used too frequently. He noted that this was their fifth Nuke in the past 90 days, making it a good time to test other maps. Although Ancient has shown promise in practice, the results in official matches have not yet matched their expectations. karrigan acknowledged that they are still working to find the right balance, noting that they are beginning to identify which strategies work and which do not.

He also addressed the team's slow start to the season, citing the disruption of a player break occurring 60 days after his arrival as a factor in building cohesion. karrigan pointed to their previous Major victory as the benchmark they are chasing, describing the current period as a necessary phase of inconsistency before achieving genuine consistency. He emphasized that to be the best team in the world, they must be capable of winning even on their off days, as their B-game is not always at its peak.

Regarding the upcoming playoffs, karrigan acknowledged the team's historical tendency to perform better in arena settings. With a self-aware comment, he joked that he cannot remember the last time he won a group stage, suggesting he might be the reason for those struggles. Now that the group stage is complete, the focus shifts to the playoffs, where Falcons have historically made their strongest impact.
